Held on June 26 at Heritage Golf Club in Hilliard, the 20th Annual Heinzerling Foundation Golf Classic was quite a success! Nearly 100 golfers enjoyed the beautiful course, excellent food, and plenty of raffle prizes and helped to raise $40,000 on behalf of the Heinzerling residents.

Both ladies and men, individual golfers as well as corporate foursomes, enjoyed this 18-hole scramble. There were prizes for the longest putt, the longest drive and closest to the pin however no one won the best prize of all which was a 2006 Porsche Boxster for a hole-in-one.

The event raised $40,000, which will be used to provide the Heinzerling residents with important “extras” which are so vital for their full development and well-being. These extras include customized beds and wheelchairs, standers, therapy equipment, modified eating utensils, specialized communication devices, field trips, and of course, adaptive toys.

Many individuals were responsible for helping to make this legendary event a success. We extend special thanks to our Development Board members, namely, Rick Wanner, Chair, Tim Cadden, Jean Deutschle, Bob Heinzerling John Hollback, Laura Lazor, John Moore, and Amanda Wood.
